Well, let me tell you I thought I heard it all. My girlfriend telling me the romantic story of her boyfriend giving her a beautiful weekend away with him complete with time off for massage and facial and everything else you can think of.

Then there is the romantic dinner at the most expensive restaurant you can think of overlooking the most beautiful harbour and for dessert, her favorite cake with the ring on top. You know the question.

A flight cross country for a superb weekend away, a train ride across Europe. You name it, I heard of it.

However, one day I was sitting in the office boardroom and a co-worker to whom I was not very well acquainted to at the time joined the room. I continued my discussion with the other co-worker and friend who was in the room with me. We were talking about romantic gifts and I was sharing one of my most romantic receives being a beautiful string of black pearls. I love black pearls.

My co-worker friend expressed that her most romantic gift was when her ex-fiancee, a man who had passed away before they were able to wed, knew she loved baths and turned their bathroom to what sounded like a romantic hideaway complete with candles, rose petals and other scented items which she really enjoyed.

Having sat quietly listening, the other co-worker injected by saying nothing is going to beat her story. So we listened and I remembered thinking to myself I was pretty sure I could beat it!

Her boyfriend was a hairy man and how she describes it, sounds to me, he is almost a gorilla. She apparently expressed to him that she was not too crash hot on the whole hairy thing. So one day he visited her and they were to stay together for the weekend. The day probably passed on and her story went straight to the bedroom where he shut all the lights and closed all the drapes. The room was pitch black. They jumped into bed and proceeded to, and, she pointed. We got the picture. And then she said she freaked out because to her shock, well, he had no hair!

None! And yes, I asked if he had some down there and she said no. It was all gone.

He decided to surprise her by having a full body wax. Head (well, he actually always shaves his head) to toe, including his big toe.

So, there is romance for you and much to my dismay, no, I could not beat that one!
