Sex appeal is based on many factors. Several characteristics are taken into account such as appearance, personality, confidence, interesting hobbies, talent, intelligence, manners, style of dress and hair, exotic appeal, accents, and the ability to speak several languages. Although we all have different tastes in men and/or women there are certain traits that draw us to them.

What is an attractive personality? Most of us will agree that one must possess intelligence, charm, politeness, and confidence. We want someone that is friendly and capable of having a good conversation with but not loud and obnoxious, intelligent but down to earth, polite but modern, and can be both funny and serious. Being fun, brave, and spontaneous yet rational, caring, and romantic is a difficult balance but very appealing.

Someone's physical appearance is also taken into how sexy he or she is. Although "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" there are certain physical traits that most of us are attracted to. Healthy, thick, shiny hair; mysterious, alluring, beautiful eyes; glowing, clear skin; gorgeous white teeth; and a tall, fit body are all found in beautiful people. We all have different opinions on skin color, facial features, body types, and hair styles but that is why there is so much diversity.

There are also certain "extras" that we tend to be drawn to. Talents like singing, dancing, drawing, playing an instrument, acting, and athletic ability are all very attractive in their own way. An exotic appearance or accent or the ability to speak more than one language fluently is also appealing. You can easily improve your sex appeal by improving your posture, walk, and manner of speech. The last trait we look for in other people is their manner of dress and how put together they are. I don't know of anyone who is attracted to slobs or anyone who dresses frumpy or trashy! If you get a more stylish, pulled together look many more eyes will be drawn to you.
