Doing good deeds

by Heather

There is nothing wrong with doing a good deed to help others. One day, you may need someone to do a good deed for you. There are many examples of good deeds and how they could help you become a better person by doing them. For example, a good deed makes you feel good about your self when you are finished. Knowing you helped someone allows them to know they mattered to you and trust me, they never forget you for your deed.

Here are some examples of good deeds and maybe some day, you can have list of your own good deeds you have helped people with.

1.) Help the elderly with their lawn mowing and yard work. We hate doing yard work while we are younger, think about how an older person feels.

2.) Help your friends with their kids, offer them a day of free child care. Trust me, they need a break once in awhile.

3.) Our parents are important. Offer to help clean the house for the day, wash their car, cook them dinner or help with planting flowers in the yard.

4.) Offer to take your friend to the store if they don't have a car. We all struggle at some point and knowing you have someone their to help makes a difference.

5.) If your married, offer to help with some chores or help with the children so your spouse can go out alone for a few hours.

6.) If you see that someone is struggling or having a hard time with something, offer to help them.

7.) If someone you know is sick with a cold, bring them some delicious soup or offer to pick them up cough medicine.

8.) If someone drops or leaves something behind and they don't know, pick it up and return it to them.

9.) If someone is hurting or sad, comfort them.

10.) Always treat people how you would want to be treated.
