As technological advances in medical and research fields allow for more information to be known about the delicate and intricate systems of our human bodies, an increasing number of health issue-centered organizations have sprung up in order to encourage women to take an active role in their lives to achieve their ultimate fitness and health goals.
Organized and promoted by the Health Information Resource Center, or the HIRC, the National Women's Health and Fitness Day was created with the intention of promoting both popular and little known women's health issues. In order to garner support and market the cause they lobby consistently, volunteers and members of women's groups, and a variety of other groups throughout communities nationwide, have recruited the help of larger corporations.
National Women's Health and Fitness Day is not only geared to promoting health and well-being among women across America, it also displays the beneficial, and often disregarded, outcome of teamwork between small communities and big corporations to ensure the promotion of what most people will certainly agree is a worthy cause.
