OK there is the New Age genre with HOW TO channel, astral travel, increase your esp, and a multitude of other things.... but the specific "how do you (mentally) cope with having these experiences" question can be difficult to answer without considering a mental illness of some type. Or maybe even a group hysteria? Or the ability to tune into the collective energy field that believes there is an other world, and so the world is perceived... as having one?
Logic seems to be an important thing in this terrain. I have had experiences of intuition that have 'come true', gut feelings that proved right, and even deeper experiences of knowing much more about another then consciously possible. I also know the sense of peace in a church and the magic of a sunrise on the beach... a sense of national spirit during a rally - all these things work thru the emotions, the feelings...
This is the energy field world, or metamorphic field, I refer to when I play with my theory we don't really experience spiritual 'things' as separate or independent from ourselves, we draw an appearance/feeling of it from the ether/energy field of its collective thought form body or core WE (collective mind thoughts of humanity over time) created. OK I really am sounding weird now. To me, Sheldrake's metamorphic resonance makes sense of the extra sensory.... although his approach was different to mine here - it makes a place for spiritual experiences to be plausible as a definite law of nature.
