Choosing the right swim goggles for you can be dizzying, there be so many different styles and choices.
To start you need to ask yourself, What purpose am I swimming for?
Competition, leisure, snorkeling, etc...
If you are going to be snorkeling you are going to need a mask goggle. This will cover both your nose and your eyes, as you won't be needing to breathe out of your nose in this situation.
If you are swimming in races, you want to find racing goggles, they are a firmer fit, and designed to go along smoothly through the water, they usually have smaller frames and rubber sockets.
All purpose goggles can be used for racing and leisure. The eye socket usually has either rubber or foam.
Purely leisure goggles usually have a softer, more comfortable fit and are larger in size with the lens.
If you are swimming outside find tinted lenses with uv protection, whereas swimming inside it helps to have a more clear lens.
Make sure, lastly that the strap is fitted comfortably around your head. Even after choosing the goggles when first using them in the water test them out and continue to adjust them to your preference.
Good luck and have fun swimming!
