How technology promotes atheism and agnosticism

I'm presuming from the word 'geek' that the title is referring to people who work within
the fields of Science, Technology and Discovery. Accusations have continually been made
that any one who works within these fields is automatically an atheist whose will only believe
in what can be proved to them.

However, like many assumptions this is not based within reality. Recent surveys conducted on
this topic showed that scientists who expressed religious faith numbered about 50% of those
surveyed, about average with any other profession. the conclusion being that scientists are no
different from anyone else on this subject.

Furthermore we should also take into account the origins of science, medicine, maths, astrology
all originated out of Islamic and Judaism. In fact medieval Europe lagged behind in these fields
due to the charge of blasphemy directed at anyone who learned from 'infidel' craft.

Sadly, it would appear that for some not much has changed.
