In my opinion, the best movie of all time is 'Josie and the Pussycats'.

Although it didn't do well at box office (resulting in a loss in the US and it wasn't even shown in British cinemas) it is my favourite DVD in my collection.

On the surface it is a perfunctory teen movie following a band on their way to the top of the charts. However, they don't get there on merit - unbeknown to them, their songs have messages running underneath them that brainwashes the consumers into buying their music.

And it is here that the true genius of the film shows through. Heavy product placement and subliminal advertising is evident throughout the film as it proves to be more a satire of life and consumerism than a teen movie. In fact, it could almost be argued that the film is a satire of itself - which is some claim!

As well as being a film that makes you sit down and think it is one that is easily enjoyable with a fun plot line, numerous laughs and great songs!
