I was a new mom about eight years ago and if anyone had asked me what I wanted I would have asked for this (of course, only if they can afford it):

A post-natal slimming package at a reputable spa!

A new mom will constantly be with the baby from morning till night. A new mom feels tired, haggard and FAT. It would have been nice to get away once a week to be pampered by beauticians instead of pampering the baby.

Imagine after a week of feeding, changing diapers and staying up late, you get lie down in a warm milk bath, and then be scrubbed with the natural aromatic grains until your skin feels baby soft and smooth before being wrapped in warm and snug blankets that will draw away your aches and pains. Finally you end up on massage bench and the therapist begins kneading the tension knots on your body from your feet all the way to your scalp, all the while applying soothing oils like lavender. Aaaaaah! Post natal depression will hardly rear its ugly head! And at the end of this program, your stomach feels tighter and does not seem to droop so much and even if you do not lose much weight, you will still feel a lot lighter.

This would have been such a welcome gift.
