Tips to get rid of telemarketers

Bring up a topic that you'd rather talk about. If it's not to they're liking then you haven't anything further to discuss with them. (Kindly hang up)

"Do I know you? I mean personally? (I don't think they would). "I'm sorry I only talk to people I know." (Click)

Seem really interested, and lead the caller on like you might bite. Make it last a solid five minutes. Right before they think they're going to finalize the deal....Shout: AHHHHHHAHHHHH...ALIENS. GOTTA GO. (Click) (Or anything else you think of)

"I'm just heading out, but let me take your home number." (Chances are the number will not be given)
"If you don't want me calling you at your home, than I see no reason you should be calling me at mine."

Use an accent and pretend you cannot speak English. Or if you cannot imitate an accent, talk gibberish until they hang up. If you know a different language speak that. They might not understand you. If they're American, they probably won't.

Tell the telemarketer that "now is not a good time." They'll probably ask you when would be a better time. Your reply: "Never."

With a stern tone and as much seriousness as you can muster, act out the following dialogue:
"How did you get this number!? This is a secure line! I'm an operative with the CIA! This call is being traced! You are in direct violation of the PATRIOT ACT!"

Start singing your favorite song, and do not waver no matter what! Upon completion of the last note, kindly hang up.

Tell the telemarketer that you don't care what they have to say, your not in the least interested in what they have to say. Then ask them if they want to grab a beer.

Or simply:

Enter your telephone number in the Do Not Call Registry(List).
