Ok...
Wow...
First off, most of you guys are morons. (no offense.)
Most of you say that you are going to lower taxes, and then set up all of these other programs for education, war veterans and their families, and all of these other things. How would you expect to do this? I mean really...do you even know where taxes go? Taxes pay for our firefighters, paramedics, police officers, teachers etc. If you lowered taxes, the people that protect our society couldn't and probably wouldn't protect us anymore because some moron wanted to lower taxes. Also, taxes would help pay for all of these programs that you hope to put in order.
The first thing I would do, is fund education. Education is the foundation for a good economy. If we don't have educated people, then who is going to teach our children, fight for us when we get a parking ticket. Funding for education is essential to the growth of our economy.
The second thing I would do is help the homeless problem. I would set up more institutions for the homeless, but I would not put all of the countries money into it. There is already a lot of money being added into these funds. The homeless are just lazy and want everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. When that's not done, they quit their jobs, lose their families, and they lose their homes. There are several homeless shelters and soup kitchens for the homeless. Besides, why should they get special treatment? They should have to work for what they have just as everybody else does.
Most of these other articles talk about if they were president they would get us out of Iraq. Is this a wise decision? I feel that Iraq is essential to the existence of this country. If we left Iraq, there government would fall to communism, again, and then they would attack the U.S., again. Everybody criticizes President Bush for the war in Iraq, but just a few years ago wasn't the whole country for the war on Iraq? We can't just go in there, start something, and decide to leave just because the population is getting annoyed because it's not going the way they planned. Wars take time. If we left Iraq right now, the trillions of dollars and the time that we have spent there will go down the drain and nothing good would have come of it. I would stay in Iraq UNTIL we are finished, and I would NOT leave prematurely.
Free speech. This is a big issue. One of the articles talks about the use of profanity, that parents should limit what their children say, not the Federal Government. I find
