One of my very favorite quotes - I'm not even sure who wrote it or originated it - but I first saw it in a forgettable movie starring Jenny McCarthy called Dirty Love. It's humorous, but a little predictable and a little too potty-humored for some people. I love how goofy Jenny is, though.
In one scene in particular, Jenny's character (cheated on by her boyfriend, and trying to cope) is in jail for the evening (yes, but it's humorous how she got there), and she reads this written on the jail cell wall:
"The hardest love to learn is that which is dark.
The kind that causes the most pain.
It is up to the soul to look past that dirty love
and regain the beauty that illuminated so bright
before - Pure Love."
I think it just says it all without having to say much.
If you can wrap your head around that.
