Is the Bible trustworthy?

To gage whether or not the Bible is trustworthy is a very open ended question. One must first define what 'trustworthiness' is to properly tackle this one. Here's my take:

The way that I see it, I would not read the Bible cover to cover and say undoubtedly that the facts pertaining to events contained inside are 100% true to the fullest degree. Although by Christian theorists it is probable that these events did take place, you always lose or skew details in translations or interpretations.

HOWEVER, I would say that the Bible provides all of the proper principles to flourish in society as good-willed people. The Bible illustrates the need for many different virtues like 'Love thy neighbor', and the Ten Commandments are an example of guidelines I believe the whole of the population would benefit from if closely acknowledged. Treating the Bible as a trustworthy source/scripture intended to teach you the principles of benevolence to your fellow person is something you can surely bet on.
