First off if you can't walk in them, you can't dance in them either! When choosing a pair of shoes for your prom keep two things in mind.
1) The color - If your dress is yellow, do NOT wear black shoes (you will look like a bumble bee!) And that my friend is certain to get you a spot in the yearbook, you don't want. Do NOT wear white shoes.. "Why?" White goes with everything... Including the red punch, mud, grass stains and a few other undesirables, I'll leave to your teenage imagination!
The perfect color shoes should be a few shades lighter or darker than your dress.
2) The height of the heel. As I already said if you can't walk in them you can't dance in them. How memorable of a prom will it be when you slip out of you to high of a heel shoe on to your face and your beautiful dress ends up over your head? Another yearbook picture you can live without.. And, I'm quite certain of two other things. If your dating your "date" you won't be after that scene! Secondly, your firends will never let you live that one down, not at graduation, 10 year reunion or your 50th reunion.
So, choose a pair of shoes you can walk comfortably in.
Your prom is a very special night, keep this two things in mind and you will be the queen of the ball with or without the crown.
