Many, many people are unhappy with the American Government at this point in history.
Among the younger generations there is talk of revolution, and overthrowing the government.
What has brought us to this point, where radical solutions now seem like the only real solutions?
The power of the vote, which used to be the power of people, has now been sabotaged. Young people don't believe that there is such a thing as a fair election anymore. When we hear reports of the polls being tampered with, and elections being rigged, right here in America- not in some distant country- many people feel it's time for a drastic change.
Does anyone actually believe in the fairness or integrity of the Impeachment process anymore?
Does anyone actually believe our public officials are representing the wishes of the majority of the American people?
When radical change is needed, radical action sometimes becomes necessary.
We are currently spending 9 times more on the American Military, than on the rest of the world combined. We have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world 50 times, yet what many Americans don't even realize is that, right now, there are more children in America living in poverty, then there are in any third world country.
Since President Bush took office he has destroyed our economy, made a laughing stock of our country, and been responsible for the deaths of an untold number of human beings.
Given the history of questionable outcomes at the voting polls, the lack of accountability in public office, and the lack of many of our political leaders to represent the wishes of the people, all I can say is "Go Vermont." We need radical change. What Vermont is doing right now could help to bring about that change, and if it doesn't, then I'm thinking Vermont is going to be one very crowded non-state when all of us who are disgusted and disappointed with the government decide to migrate east.
