Untaken

The last chance, take a look, take a glance
Memorize it in remembrance
The wind is slipping through your fingers
You can't hold on, it's telling you whispers

Your grip was too weak
They're thoughts in your mind
What you've never had is what you left behind

Retrace your steps, but find it gone
When time stood still
It moved on
Unclosed fists, what you have missed
You fade away, it fails to stay

That was your chance, blindness at a glance
Forget it and remembrance
When you fail to see what this can make you be
There's no fate, no destiny

It's what you failed to miss
Blame but your own
Nothing can tell you
That you should have known
