Evaluating Google

Google has some great products but their ability and apparent belief that it's their right to use some of their products to gather personal data on you, the customer, puts them on a collision course between the right to privacy and the Google objective to dominate the internet. As more people learn about Google's disrespect for your right to privacy by amassing private data on the Google customer, the more you will see the warning about this privacy issue appearing on what Google wants to dominate, the Internet.

Do you really want Google monitoring your private email to allow them to insert ads into your email that matches the content of your private email message when using their Gmail product? Do you really want Google to have the ability to retrieve and upload your personal and private files from your home computer to their servers when you use their Google Desktop product?

Can Google or other internet content providers remotely activate your home computer's sound card or computer camera? The technology is out there to make this invasive scenario a reality but you would have to give the internet content provider permission and access by changing settings on your home computer. None of the internet content providers to my knowledge have been that stupid to activate such an invasive system but the best thing for you to do is cut off your camera and computer when you are not using these devices. You never know which bright ambitious hacker may quietly try to activate these devices remotely.

With billions of dollars in their war chest to fuel their ambitions to dominate the internet, the executives guiding the Google brand are wisely moving beyond their recognition as the search engine of choice for millions of internet users. Satisfied with the fact that someone in the world every minute of the day is told to get on line and "Google it" to find an answer to a question, the executives are moving forward to take on the Microsofts, Amazons and Ebays of the world.

The Google brand of today is moving into markets with strategies to advertise their products as a way for their customers to make the internet easier to use for shopping, entertainment and to even track their children.

Utilizing a GPS tracker systems with Google Earth allows a parent to see exactly where little Susie is when she leaves the house. Give Google time and the parent will be able to tell their child to get home over the stereo or GPS system mounted in the car.
