Automotive history: AMC Gremlin

The second car I ever owned was an AMC Gremlin. It was a canary yellow, and I affectionately called it the 'Grumblin'. While in those days I had little experience with vehicles and driving in general, I look back on this vehicle fondly. It goes back to a day when vehicles were made tough, and could take a beating. This particular vehicle had been driven into a cement pit and left to harden. Despite that, I drove it for the better part of two years, and it gave me absolutely no grief. What a wonderful car it was. It was roomy inside, and small enough where as a fairly new driver I didn't get into too much parking lot trouble. It was also of an age where a little ding here and there would not have made me cry. It was such a good car that I actually made money on it when I finally sold it, and missed it terribly afterward. Three cheers for the mighty Grumblin'!
