What it takes to be an entrepreneur

by Joe Lee

Entrepreneur: Someone who creates a new method of doing thing more effectively or add more values to the life of others. That in my opinion is entrepreneurship.

Of course, besides adding tremendous value to others, you have to include the monetary benefits. And the relationship between money and value is the more value you add, the more money you make.

The thing is it's a not an easy journey to add value and make money at the same time.

The Universe will test you in many different ways, and challenges will come in many different forms.

With all the challenges from the Universe, what it takes to be an entrepreneur? Do you have what it takes to be one?

Working hard

Do not think of earning lots of money being an entrepreneur. You will not have the money unless you are willing to work hard for it. Most successful entrepreneurs invest at least 60 hours per week into their business. They are willing to sacrifice for future rewards.

For example, you could have spend time partying over the weekends, having a fun time socializing, however, that is not productive towards your business. So you chose to invest that time to build your business. Investing time with your staff, finding more information about your competition, or out there meeting more prospects. Gradually, you may lose this group of friends. It may be a huge sacrifice for some.

Are you willing to work more than 60 hours a week? Are you willing to make this sacrifice?

Persevere

Usually to make more money, there will be more challenges. It's the way Universe test you on your character. There may even be time where your business run dry on cash flow, did not generate a single cent for six months. What are you going to do about that?

You can choose to give up and move on. It's the easiest way out. But success may be around the corner. Or you can choose to hang on, fight another day. But success may be far away. What is your choice?

Study has show that most successful entrepreneurs gone through this stage. They usually come to a do or die situation, and those who persevere usually survive. Are you mentally prepared for these challenges?

Get out of comfort zone

Are you ready to do this? Ready to do things that you may feel uncomfortable. Everyone has our comfort zone. Being an entrepreneur requires us to be out of our comfort zone constantly.

Do you feel uncomfortable to ask for money, or the sale? An entrepreneur must be ready to ask for a sale everywhere he goes. Do you have an issue going
