Oh, what the hell is that?"
The thing spoke. "Nigel said you were not nice."
"Really," Brandon replied. "And you would be Sebastian."
"Indeed."
"Nate?"
"Ye ah?"
"RUN!"
The two men took off in the opposite direction of where Sebastian stood, droplets of blood marking their trail. Sebastian did not lumber. Sebastian moved with the speed of a running back, gaining ground on them in rapid fashion. As they ran, Brandon tried every door, one finally opening.
"In here!"
They literally dove into the room, and Brandon jumped up, shut the door and locked it. "Come on, find something to put in front of the door! NOW!"
Nate looked as though registering a complaint, thought twice and picked up a chair, grimacing from the pain. Brandon slid the small bed in front of the door, and the two men backed as far into the opposite wall as they could without becoming part of it.
"What are we going to do," whispered Nate.
"Pray."
"I don't pray."
"Start."
A blow struck the door, stretching the wood, making it groan under the pressure. Another blow and Brandon saw the top hinge weaken.
Nate began to mumble, "Our Father, who art in heaven..."
"Perhaps something a little more direct, maybe," Brandon said.
"Fine. Dear God, save our terrified butts. If you do..."
"Don't bargain with God," Brandon interrupted. "Nigel is just an idiot ghost and look what his friends are like. I don't even want to know who God knows."
A loud boom cracked the door down the middle. Sebastian stuck his disfigured head in, and without conscious effort, Brandon thought of Jack Nicholson in 'The Shining'.
"I can save you."
Nate whirled toward the adjacent wall. "Damn!" he shouted. In front of the wall stood a mirror. A shimmering apparition in the mirror stood grinning at the two men, fading in and out of focus. Nate realized with each moment of focus that he did not ever want to clearly see this thing.
"You can save us. All right, fine," Brandon said. "What's the catch."
"Smart boy, this one," the apparition hissed, looking at Nate. "Set me free."
"No. No way in hell," Nate said. "Absolutely not."
The door split wide open and fell in twain. The bed and a chair were all that held Sebastian back. "What do we do now!" Nate yelled.
"Give the damn mirror what it wants."
"No! It'll kill us! Have you NEVER seen a horror movie, Brandon?"
"In case you haven't noticed, an eight foot tall monster is standing in front of us. There's a day bed and a chair between him and us. GIVE THE MIRROR WHAT IT DAMN WELL WANTS!"
"How? How do we set you free." The apparition
