How to find the lowest gas prices in your area

This is how I determine where the cheapest gas prices are in my area.

First of all, I rule out the seclusive areas where the more affluent citizens live. They enjoy their way of life too much to let the Riff Raff in. I find these areas to have the highest prices around.

The other area, for some reason, is in the poorer neighborhoods, in the inner city. So I stay away from there.

Every gas station has it's own price war going on in the suburban areas of town. So, this rules them out.

Stay away for the major highways, gas up before you go on them. They are just taking advantage of you because, who wants to drive for miles off the beaten track to find something cheaper, when you are in a hurry. This is why it is a highway, with highway prices.

Finally, this leaves only one more place to look. That place is in an industrial area. Figure out where the main industrial thoroughfare is in your town. It is usually a road system that links many industrial parks and businesses together.

I think that the reason why these gas stations are cheaper than anywhere else, is because they are exposed to a larger volume of traffic. A high turn over will lead to larger and more frequent purchasing. This will lead to cheaper prices from their suppliers and in addition, keeping their prices competitive, will keep business flowing more fluidly in the immediate area.
