Jealousy is a common phrase. You might see it on a comedy or on your way to a musical.
You see a woman looking at her husband who has come to take her out to dinner.
Well, not me somebody else.
And she says "Could you get me the filet mignon." The waiter will come with the meal and they seem to be happy. Yet she is constantly staring at his.

Or you might see school children having recess and one of them, the school bully, will snatch the ball from one of them. The child soon is not filled with jealousy but with anger. This does not end for he is then jealous of other things and other desires.

Sometimes friends can be very close but a little of jealousy like for clothing, or money, or cars can distract them.

Jealousy is basically the inner desire for things that you would like to have in your life. It is often silly about having a desire for things you probably won't be happy with anyway.
