Which travel website do you use? If it's not TripAdvisor.com, you may be missing out! This website's motto is: Get the truth, then go. What is neat about the site is that they actually provide you with the truth! The site is filled with countless reviews of destinations, hotels, and you name it! Let's walk through an experience with TripAdvisor.com together, shall we?
We arrive at the site. Immediately we are struck by how familiar it looks. It has the map of the world that lights up, the search fields with hotel and flight options, and updated deals. But then the similarity ends. It quickly becomes apparent that much of the content of this website is contributed by users in the know!
One example of user contribution is the ratings and reviews. Users have the option of rating and reviewing services, destinations and almost anything that seems valid. What is more, down at the bottom of the page are colorful descriptions of things to see or not see, do or not do in specific destinations.
So we have perused the homepage. Now we type in a flight originating in Salt Lake City and ending up in Anchorage. The results are a surprise. TripAdvisor.com shows that it is the most complete travel website because it has fares from Orbitz, Travelocity, Priceline, Hotwire, Cheap Tickets, Expedia and even the airline that is the regular provider for that service! It is a cinch to compare deals and prices from all of these top sites!
Furthermore, the results page is customized for the destination. On the left side of the page we see a list of links starting with Anchorage Overview. Clicking on this takes us to a nicely written description of the city, with highlights. We go back and see that there are links to Anchorage hotels, restaurants and attractions. Everything we could ask and more.
So now we have compared our prices and have booked our flight. We have also gotten a list of restaurants and attractions we want to see. We have read user reviews of these places and are pretty confident we want to try them out. All of this from one site. It is obvious that TripAdvisor is unique in the world of travel websites. It is also probably the best.
