Don't get involved...it's a scam. I have started more research into the company and into "legal" pyramid schemes.

It's an epidemic that has been sweeping acorss the Redlands campus, and everywhere else. I have been to an ACN "informational" meeting. They throw out statistics, but without stating their sources. They talk about how much residual income you can make, but what is the actual PROFIT made? If you seem even slightly interested they PUSH and try to manipulate your mind to get you started "right away." Not more than 5 seconds after the meeting I was ushered into an office to talk more about getting me started and what not, just because I "looked" sold on what they were selling.
An 18 year old guy, fresh out of High School was trying to get me into the company. The only REAL job he has ever worked in his life was at Del Taco. I have much more job experience on him and two years of life experience, and he is supossed to try to convince ME to get involved in a scam where I have to pay 500 bucks, money that I don't have, to start my own "business".
When I turned it down (thank god) they told me that I was playing it safe. I told them, no I wasn't. I was playing it smart. And as for taking risks in my life (which they came down on me about that too) I plan on establishing myself as great writer of all sorts and getting involved in the peace corps or being a photo journalist. The whole getting famous thing, not gaurnteed, but it's my dream. You can't put down ACN on a job resume...they will not hire you. It's not a legit job.

Bad vibes...

I'll be colaberating with a few people on this project. My goal is to educate my friends to NOT get involved with ACN and to spread the word around my campus. If you would like to get involved, please let me know.

Oh, by the way...one of the services that they offer is a Dial-up connection. Who the hell uses dial up connections anymore! Sounds like some out-dated technology to me. Yes, they do offer DSL, but Cable connections are 4 time faster than DSL. Not to mention to get DSL, you have to get a special approval from your city if you live in an area that is not equipt with it. And for that, you have to pay! You can order Cable through your TV company.
Verison DSL offers high-speed internet connection for only $14.99 for the first year. ACN? $24.99 montly fee. Oh, and Adelphia Cable ? Same price as ACN's DSL. Qwest customer looking to change over to ACN? You have to pay an extra 10 bucks a month.
Land-line long distance rates? Take a look a what ACN charges vs. ECG

So, as an ACN customer...are you really saving on your long distance calls? Are you really getting the best technology when you order Dial up through them? Sure, they offer video phones but how much will it cost just to by the hardware item, let alone the service when it comes out?

As a rep of ACN, are you really trying to sell the best product out there?

Save your 500 bucks for college text books.
