There is a lot I want to teach my son. How to behave is the main thing I want to get into his head. It's just something I've never been able to do. But other things I'd like to teach him are how to play nicely with other kids.
We have a hard time with this. We really do. Anywhere we go, he either hordes toys, doesn't share, or starts throwing things and hitting other children. We usually have to leave or go home because no matter what we say to him, he doesn't stop, or he starts screaming. It's embarrassing and I hate being looked at like I'm doing something wrong, or not doing anything at all.
He also needs to learn how to talk. I'm SO tired of the whining. He's two years old. I know other two year olds who are putting three or four words together. I'm beginning to think that there may be a learning disability going on here. But who knows. Mom says it's to early to find out anyway. But really...it's gotta stop.
The throwing has to stop too. Whenever he gets mad or you tell him no, he starts throwing toys and food and just gets plain old vicious. It's not a good thing. And I have a couple black & blues to prove how mean he can get. Sigh.
I think potty training is another main thing we need to work on with him. Right now, it might be to early, but when I first tried, he did nothing but scream. And we have little episodes of stuck poops. I think if he learned to sit on his potty and just relax, it wouldn't be so bad. And I think he'd have a lot easier time with it. And it would make it a lot easier on us because he wouldn't scream and we wouldn't get calls from the office. LOL
I'd also like to teach him to color in his coloring books and not anywhere else. We have very colorful walls due to this problem. I don't mind it now, but when he starts coloring on the TV and the computer monitor, then I get mad. Cause it doesn't come off. And I don't have the money to be replacing stuff like that.
Reading, knowing shapes and numbers, and not smearing food around the house are other things I'd like to teach him, but I guess it will all come in due time. I just have to keep him away from the people that undo what I try to teach and I think all will be fine.
