First aid for bee stings

by PUERILE

There a many routes you can take when treating a bee sting. These are only limited by the severity of the reaction.

No reaction:
Carefully remove the stinger. Gently stroke it with a small object and needle is preferable.
Never pull the stinger out or squeeze the skin where the stinger is located.

Mild reactions:
A mild reaction consists of swelling, extreme pain and possible bruising.
Very carefully remove the stinger. If severe pain is present the victim might be jumpy so extra caution is needed.
Take this person to the doctor as soon as possible.

Severe reactions:
A severe reaction is called asphyxia's shock. A person that has a severe reaction needs to get medical attention immediately!
If the victim has an Epi-Pen use it right away! An Epi-Pen is a shot that contains adrenaline this can help stop and asphyxia's reaction.

Pain relief:
Swelling: Try icing the area if your in the woods a cloth soaked in cool water will also work. An antihistamine will also help reduce the swelling and pain.
