The truth about condoms

The truth about condoms is that they are 100% ineffective if they never make it out of your wallet, drawer, or even the drug store. It is sad that after all we know about STDs, so many people are continuing to not use condoms. There is always an excuse and no one thinks something bad will happen to them-until it does. No one is safe against STD's, especially people who are sexually active with multiple partners. We live in a society that is so nonchalant about sex, why would we expect people to be diligent about protecting themselves. I mean, what's care-free about wearing a condom?

The truth about condoms is that they work more times than not. Think about it this way, if you sleep with someone that has an STD, your chances of catching it are almost guaranteed without a condom. By using condoms, even though they may not be 100% effective, your odds are much better. You are naive if you believe that everyone with an STD will openly admit it to someone they are interested in-if they are even aware. Many STD's have no warning signs or symptoms. And ladies, I know you have all heard of Human Papillavoma Virus (HPV) which has certain strains that could be fatal! Most men that carry this virus have no idea and it is not something that they usually would get tested for!

The bottom line about condoms: You won't know whether or not they are effective until they're not. I'm not sure what it will take for people to learn, but I must admit I'm not very hopeful.
