Racial inequality or oppression: Do they truly exist in today's society?

Racial inequities still exist today, lets not be naive, but who cares? Thanks to the efforts of Civil rights leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, and countless others, both white and black, The specter of institutionalized racism has been eradicated from the pages of our legal code. However, is this really the truth?

The fact is that when we talk about racial inequality we are talking of a comparison and conflict between the black and white races. There has been no other conflict that has stood for so long. Therefore, this article will focus on Black vs. White in Equality.

Since the passage of the civil rights act of 64, the act, which abolished Jim Crow, the state of the black community, in big cities and rural areas, has never been so dismal. Products of the civil rights movement such as, racial quotas, affirmative action, public housing and welfare have crippled the black community creating an entire generation of foul mouthed, disrespectful, uneducated, ignorant, self important standard bears of victim hood.

The data is astounding, literacy rates, college graduation rates, high school drop out rates, teen pregnancy rates, out of wedlock births, drug usage, violent crime, economic development, the list goes on, all these indicators ratios and rates have trending negatively ever since the passage of the '64. Why?

In this writers humble opinion blacks people have no one to blame but them selves as the PRIMARY reason for their lack of success. The secondary reason is the fault of whites more specifically the Democratic Party.

The Democratic party and other well meaning white liberals and some but few conservatives have fought for social programs that though well intentioned have stripped the power to control the mechanisms of building wealth from the black American. This country was built upon the idea of life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, rugged individualism and god and country. Let us take a brief focus on each of the ways these principals have been stripped from black society.

Life is not the right to be alive but it is the right to experience the world in order to build a valuable experience from the sequential events belonging to an individual. Nothing has diminished the Black man or woman's opportunity to experience the world than the public education system. Standards of excellence have been diminished and weakened year after year by bureaucrats who may
