Online travel services: Are travel agents becoming obsolete?

Are Travel Agent's becoming obsolete?

Some people may say Yes! The online travel services have vastly improved, you can book flights, hotels, car hire, you name it you can now book it online, at any time of day!

But, I'd have to say No, to Travel Agents becoming obsolete. At the end of the day however good the online services may be, its nice now and then to talk to a human.

They can sort it all out for you, it's there responsibility to book everything right down to insurance's, and you just get handed the tickets and various information you will need. But there is a human to complain to and resolve the problem right away, to sympathize with you and reassure that it will be OK. Where as with online services you have to email or try and catch them on the phone (its a lot easier for them to hide) waiting for replies can be very frustrating and hard on your computer, as you try to throw it out of the window. So I say lets keep Travel Agents and not lose that human touch.
