Making Earth Day meaningful for children of all ages

Also, it could probably help local grocery stores out. With a community garden, one could get very creative by growing all sorts of fruits and vegetables. You can have a combination of both domestic and exotic fruits and vegetables.




Your school could also have its own garden. It would be an activity that students can participate before, during, and after school.


This would make for a well meaningful after school activity.




Earth Day Crafts:




You can get very artistic and creative out of Earth Day. You can make piece of work with what you already have. There is really no need to go out and buy new materials.
Instead, use what you already have.
One could make an art exhibit that is focused on Earth Day.




Creativity is being able to work with what you have no matter how big or small your materials are.
All you need is imagination. You can create anything and everything with reusable materials. Just about anything is reusable. You simply need to be creative about it. You simply need to put forth your imagination.




Earth Day Movie Night:




A movie night could also be made possible. One example would be this 1992 animated movie called "FernGully: The Last Rainforest."
Another suitable film would be the 1993 animated film called "Once Upon a Forest." "WALL-E" is another example of a suitable film to be screened for an Earth Day Movie Night.




Never underestimate the power of the film medium. Film has the uncanny power to bring stories to life. Through film, these stories can teach children very important morals and lessons. Learning to appreciate Earth's environment is one of those morals that can be learned from such movies.




Earth Day Lunch or Dinner:




You can serve them organic food. This is a good way to promote Earth Day. On top of that, you are promoting healthy eating for your children.




However, why not make everyday Earth Day? This is pretty much the best way to make it meaningful for all your children. If your children appreciate Earth and its environment, then Earth Day should be considered to be meaningful. Here are some ways to do this:




Buy and Eat Organic:




Organic food is becoming a new trend. What is organic food? Organic food is natural. Organic produce do not have the pesticides that can prove harmful and fatal to our bodies.
They do not have the added growth chemicals. You can tell if produce is organic by a label.




However, that can get a bit costly. Should that be the case, you could go ahead and grow your own vegetables. Growing your own vegetables
