Ideas for great vacations

Looking for some new places to visit on your next vacation? Tired of hearing people suggest seeing Disney World for the trillionth time? Then take a quick look over these great destinations you might have overlooked.

1) The House on the Rock (located near Spring Green, Wisconsin). We all love to visit eccentric, quirky, and surprising things on vacations, right? Well, the House on the Rock fits the bill! Designed and built by a millionaire with an eclectic taste for collecting, this 'house' is more of a museum. Every level is filled from floor to ceiling with countless delights ranging from an entire armory of medieval weaponry and armor, to the World's Largest Carousel. Strange music playing devices and impressive dioramas are around every twisting corner. Plus, the view of Wyoming Valley from the "Infinity Room" is worth the price of admission alone. If you want to return from your next vacation with stories to tell, the House on the Rock is definitely for you!

2) The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (located in Cleveland, Ohio). Hellloooo, Cleveland! Music is America's bread and butter, really. We all have certain bands or songs that take us back to a special place or moment. The chances of catching a glimpse of a guitar played by your hero, or rare articles of rock and roll clothing worn by famous performers? A dream you say? Come to the Hall of Fame and it'll become a reality. Any true fan can't really say they've lived until they have made a pilgrimage to this Mecca of the world of music.

3) The Kennedy Space Center (located near Cape Canaveral, Florida). Space...the final frontier. We all dreamed of being an astronaut as a kid. Mostly to try to eat Jell-O in zero gravity. But still, that dream lives in somewhere deep in our imaginations. Why not satisfy that childhood curiosity and take a trip to see where all our space exploration began? Tours are offered year-round, and if you time it right, your vacation might even coincide with a shuttle launch! What are you waiting for? Blast off!
