Gay Pride is like any other pride . It has a up side and a down side.
Gay Pride, on the upside, is the assertive belief that the lifestyle is different but nor less important than a traditional lifestyle. Pride is articulating this lifestyle with pride and not with shame or doubt. Pride is a gay person knowing their value and contribution to society is unrelated to sexual orientation. We are all human beings first followed by whatever sexual orientaton we happen to be. Our sexual orientation is not connected to our integrity and character.
Gay Pide is negative when it is purposely flaunted to heterosexuals. There is no need to call attention to yourself because of your sexaul orientation.Be who you are confortably is positive pride; Flaunting invite taunting and is negative!
