Hosting a sleepover for your children is a good way to be in control of the activities that will take place that night. It can be nerve racking that is for sure, but if you have a game plan before hand then things can go a lot smoother and be more enjoyable for everyone involved.
Before the sleepover be sure you have a menu all planned out. Make it group friendly. Plan mini pizza's that the kids can make on their own. Have hot dogs and chips available or some easy throw together menu that wont have you frazzled and regretting that you hosted this party. Too, remember plenty of munchies that will allow the kids freedom of movement in the kitchen or the assigned eating area so the mess can be maintained to one area.
As far as activities keep it as simple as possible or things could get out of hand.
If the activities are going to take place in doors, remind everyone that they are accountable for their actions and they wouldn't want to spoil the whole party by being rude and selfish. If they can't abide by the rules of the house then they will need to go home. The objective is to have fun.
Have a set bedtime in mind or you could be up all night. They can enjoy a sleepover and still have a decent time to go to bed. Though it may seem daunting having a house full of kids, hosting the party gives you the advantage of being in control and being aware of what your child is involved in.
Remember that when it comes to hosting a sleepover for older children you may need to be a little more flexible in regards to sleeping times and activities, but don't fret, remember you are in control, rules are rules and they have to be followed.
