The first thing you need to know is what is change management. Change management is a structured way to try to change employees, groups, organizations, and teams for them to change into the the type of group or employee that they are desired to be.
The change can be any number of things such as changing them from being negative thinkers to being positive thinkers, or maybe they need to work more as a team instead of always working to make their own ideas better.
There are many structures or formulas for change management, but Richard Beckhard and David Gleicher developed a winning formula that is known as Gleicher's Formula. Gleicher's Formulas shows people that the mixture of dissatisfaciton in a workworce or group and vision for future growth and development must be a group wide or workforce wide belief, and that everyone must be willing to take action to become a better group or workforce.
Prosci developed what is called the ADKAR model and was made for individualized change management. The ADKAR model works by using building blocks to attain a change or changes. The ADKAR model has been used by over 1000 organizations in 59 different countries, and may well be the best system to use for change management.
The building blocks of the ADKAR model are as follows:
1) Awareness of why the change is needed
2) Desire to support and participate in the change
3) Knowledge of how to change
4) Ability to implement new skills and behaviors
5) Reinforcement to sustain the change
Using these steps, you can successfully win the war on negativity or any other mindset you are trying to accomplish within your group or workforce.
