Noteworthy for their enthusiastic Shatner spots, Priceline is just as workable in action as it is in advertising. And by the way, those really are some of my favorite commercials. But the service itself is a good way to save a decent amount of money on any vacation you may be planning on taking in the upcoming months.

A quick aside on one minor annoyance during the process. Nothing is perfect, after all. And that is how I wanted it when accessing the site, and I was frustrated that I could not lowball them initially and see if it would be accepted before giving my credit card information. You give them the information and then you find out if the offer you made was accepted by the travel company or not.

But it is a great service and a good idea. The signup process is quick and efficient.

You are first presented with some preselected discounted prices and shown the "chance" of getting your price for each one. (Even the lowest discount was great!) Since I had really nothing to lose, I decided to choose the "Fair Chance of getting your price" discount on each item...and was shocked to see it accepted each time!

It was a good experience and I would certainly use the service again. It is multifaceted and I seems to cover every type of travel possible. You can enter your own price and see if it is accepted or select from the great deals in front of you. With some patience you can make a save a lot of money, and saving money is making money. It is so easy to use that even a third grader could use it. I hope Priceline as a company continues to row in the near future and it looks like that is exactly what is going to happen.
