America is a great industrial Country, with an enormous energy need and also many energy wastes and inefficient uses, like in the other industrialized nations of the world.
I like better to point out the energy policy that, in my personal opinion, America would massively follow to get free from oil, coal and uranium slavery.
- The first important policy that this Country should follow is to reduce its energy demand by saving energy at every level, starting from houses, where all the traditional incandescent bulbs would be replaced with with the most modern low-consuming lamps, windows and roofs would be more insulating against heat losses and solar panels everywhere.
- Then, just solar energy would be widespread also considering the enormous desert areas that would be covered by solar panels.
- Then, also wind energy could be widely employed, installing them in the the many windy areas of this Country, included Alaska, except for the Southern States, where the aerogenerators could be easily destroyed by the frequent hurricanes, but solar energy can be easily exploited.
- Another important energy sources are bio-fuels like bio-diesel, methanol, bio-gas obtained from seeds oils and vegetable fermentations, also of the discharge products of agriculture, breeds and industry. Just in U.S.A., many people is normally using the bio-diesel obtained from maize oil and soy-beans for their cars and trucks.
- The geothermal is another source, already a reality in California, but offering much more potentiality, given the many volcanic, seismic areas with not very deep hot water layers that could be used.
- Also the hydroelectric energy can be employed, increasing the energy yield of the existing hydroelectric plants, but without building new dams to flood other precious valley bottoms, like it's made still today in China, submerging very wide and fertile areas.
- Cars can use bio-diesel, methanol, methane or butane from biologic fermentations, electric batteries and even compressed air.
All these options cand surely exclude forever the use of oil, coal and atomic energy, too dangerous, not renewable and polluting and their most strategic advantage is that all this clean energy can all be produced inside U.S., without importing anymore fuels from abroad (oil and natural gas from Arabian Countries, uranium from Russia, Africa).
So, no more oil wells in the middle of the sea, oil pipelines and dangerous oil tankers across the sea, no more wars for controlling energy sources abroad, by means of the great multinational companies, no more nuclear plants with the need of coping with the "immortal" nuclear wastes or with the risk of processing of uranium and plutonium compounds, the most dangerous poisons of the world.
