Friends versus family: When friendship interferes

by Stacy

Wheather you are married, or a teen-ager living at home, there will always come a time when a friend interferes with your perfect little world.

Being married and having single friends you can expect that at one time or another there will be trouble. Your single friend can come and go as he or she pleases at all times of the day or night. They don't really understand that you have responsiblities and a family that comes first. They may want you to go out on the weekend not considering that in order for you to do that, you would have to leave your very possibly irrate spouse at home. That's not good.

If you are a teen-ager, your parents are probably the last people on earth you want to spend your time with. They are so uncool. But if that party your at gets raided and all your friends take off leaving you behind to be carted off to jail, who do you think is going to have get up a two am to drag your sorry but out of the slammer.

What I'm trying to say is never underestimate the power of a family. And always remember that blood is thicker than water.
