Getting into the college that's right for you

I am a single mother and have worked ever since I have been out of high school. I worked in factories and have worked really hard. Four years ago I got injured on the job and four surgeries and four years later I have been forced to make a career change. I am almost fourty five years old. I decided I should go to college. I went to high school during a time where we didn't have to take SAT tests if we weren't going to go to college and I certainly didn't think I was smart enough to go. Well I decided it would be best for me to take college on line. With college on line you have to make sure it is an accredited college, so you can get financial aid.

On line colleges also go all year long no holidays, so you can get your masters in a bit over three years in stead of six years going to an on campus school. The convenience of college on line is can save gas cause you are at home. You can be here for your children. I decided I was going to be a child psychologist and get my masters. I started last April and studied my tail off only to fail my writing classes. So I decided to go to a psychologist and get tested for learning disabilities and learned I have ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder.

So I have to go to counseling sessions and with most colleges the have special help for students with learning disabilities. I am not going to quit, when I get my disabilities worked out so I can learn. I will resume my studies. So no matter what when you are an older student still go for it. It will be worth it in the end.
