Fodors.com is one of the better sites of the companies that create good guidebooks for worlwide destinations. The website contains similar info as you get in the guidebook, although it is not as in depth and of course not as handy as a guidebook when you are actually in the destination, however it can be very useful for helping pick a destination and where to go, eat, and stay at a destination. My favorite section is the one that gives advice on when to go to the destination, which I often find useful when I am trying to decide when I want to go to a particular city. The site features destinations worldwide and for each destination page there is plenty of info on describing places to go, places to eat, and places to stay. Overall it is a well laid out site that is easy to navigate, however at times the large ads they have on the site get in the way, but there appear to be no pop-up ads at least. There are even forums for getting more advice on your destination and/or for you to help out others, however I personally find the forum kind of confusingly laid out and not very user friendly as other forums such as the one the travel site igougo.com has.
