Circles
Two circles in the corner
Staring back at me
Gleaming all around
The little dots that see clearly
I wish I were there
In those circles so calm
So bright and happy
So peaceful and warm
Those circles tell no lies
They encamp all around
Those circles hide no hurt
Those circles make no sound
Heavenly halos surround
A complete cipher they make
Glowing effortlessly
No defects, no mistakes
How can something so simple
Make the most sense
In this fragile life
They exude confidence
We could learn from their strength
And sample their silence
To help us maintain
In this world of hatred and violence
They are my life
My entire being
They comfort my worries
And encourage my beliefs
I cannot begin to think
Of a life without them
Of a life without knowing
Of a life without him
