Finding happiness on any path is not as difficult as some would think.
Happiness is state of mind, not a state of being. What this means is that if you are hoping that the next promotion, or the big "career break that you've waiting for" is going to bring you happiness that you don't already have, you may be very disillusioned when or if it happens.
You can be (and really should be) happy regardless of your external circumstances.
My favorite quote is from a book I read some years ago, called "Living A Beautiful Life." It reads "You will never be any happier than you are right this minute."
If we stop chasing the bigger, better dream, in our pointless pursuit of some idea of "happiness" we can actually take the time to experience the moment, all the joyous wonder of the right here, and the right now.
We will never live this day again.
Wherever you are, whatever you find yourself doing, if you do it to the fullest, if you look for and make an effort to embrace even the smallest pleasures in your life today, you will find happiness that is not Dependant on anything except yourself.
