Children often decide what they want to be when they grow up when they are young. One of the most popular future occupations is farmer. Luckily, since it is a popular choice for kids, there are plenty of toys for the budding farmer. This means it is possible to keep supplying farm toys to the child up until he or she may decide to become something else. There are several top farm toy choices for budding farmers of all ages.
John Deere
John Deere makes lots of farm toys for kids that want to drive tractors. There are several toy tractors of differing sizes, perfect for kids of different ages. For the really lucky youngster, there are riding tractors with real get-up-and-go. Kids who get one of those John Deere tractors could actually help on the farm. Sadly, not every budding farmer has that luxury, but they can pretend they have a farm with the John Deere Lift and Load Barn. The barn comes with the machines required to haul and store goods in the barn for realistic farm play. Future farmers will learn that farming isn't all fun with the animals, but tons of hard work.
Lego Duplo My First Farm
This Lego Duplo farm set comes with a barn, farmer, animals, fencing, pitchfork and plants. The farm is made up of several Lego bricks so the child can learn to build their first barn, and is a great introduction to Legos, in general. The bricks are easy to stack and even require matching correct colors. The Lego My First Farm isn't just for the budding farmer to pretend to care for animals and plant the crops, but also teaches everyday skills. Lego provides the best of both worlds, farming and learning, in one neat package.
Fisher Price Little People Animal Sounds Farm
The Fisher Price Little People farm has been around for many years and continues to be a big seller for Fisher Price. There are plenty of good reasons for it. The farm is large with sturdy plastic pieces small enough for tiny hands, but big enough so they aren't swallowed. The set has animal sounds to help children learn the noises animals make, and the set comes with a few farm animals and a farmer to play with. All the extra pieces store in the silo for safekeeping. Children love this toy. For something that seems so simple as plastic animals and sounds, it stands out as a crowd-pleaser. It's rare for a child to not like the Fisher Price Animal Sounds Farm.
Farm-opoly
Farm-opoly is a spin-off version of Monopoly except with a farm theme. All the spaces are farm-related purchases. Instead of hotels, players build red barns. The playing pieces are farm animals and such. Farm-opoly is a fun farm toy idea for older kids who still want to become farmers. The play is the same as Monopoly, but also has special rules for one-hour play for kids that become bored easily. It is not just a rip-off of Monopoly like so many others, but a different form of Monopoly.
