Despite modern advances in the toy market, toys from yesteryear are still popular. Classic toys never grow old and remain staples in today’s modern children’s toy boxes. Hand-eye coordination is enhanced, concentration and focus is promoted and lateral thinking is also greatly used to complete the puzzle. There is something magical about opening a book and being enraptured by the story as it unfolds. Each story is encapsulating as it takes the reader and listener on a new journey together. The ideas, characters and stories keep children going back time and time again.
What also appeals about story books is that they are something that is shared with parent and child providing that special bonding time. Books for babies and toddlers are great for building on their vocabulary and imagination whilst being a perfect calming down activity.
