Jessica's Law: How to punish child molesters

In 22004, I was working as a nanny. Five to seven children(sometimes their cousins would visit and be my responsibility, as well) were in my care twenty-four/seven. That's a lot to look after. A roommate of the parents would often give me a hand.

Some time after my being hired, I noticed strange activities in the children, I mentioned it to their mother but she said that kids get like that. Myself having studied child psychology and human sexuality agreed, but it did seem that things went kind of far; particularly with the two-year-old twins. In the back of my mind I knew something was wrong, I reported it to my boss and that was that.

I was only employed by this family, for the summer vacation and soon after returning home, (I stayed in contact) I learned that the oldest daughter had spoken out that she had been mollested by the roommate. He was sentenced to not less than ten years in prison, but was released after only two years, because the prison he was in became overcrowded with non-violent marijuana dealers who face federally directed mandatory minimum sentences, thanks to Ronald Reagan, but child mollesters do not.

Jessica's Law, and the federal Jessica Lunsford act do not require child mollesters to remain imprisoned. They allow for release, but do promise to keep track of child mollesters.

I personally feel that child mollesters should have it branded on their faces so that, because the law doesn't seem to want to do anything about it, right-minded citizens could take care of them very easily. In the time I was working with the kids, I came to think of them as my own. The man who attacked them, who destroyed their innocence is walking the streets now, doing whatever he pleases, while a marijuana seller who never harmed anybody rots in jail, their life wasted.
