Fast food dollar menus

The dollar menu saves rock and roll! For anyone famaliar with touring bands, rock music, or the music business, you know that most artists receive a "per-diam" while on tour. This "per-diam" is an agreed upon dollar amount that the artist recieves everyday for food, personal items, and entertainment while away from the convience of normal items found in a home. For a major artist, this amount could exceed $50 / day. For independant artists in the first few years of touring, this could be less then $5 / day. For artists, like myself who tour full time in an independant rock band, the dollar menu and $.99 menu items have saved rock and roll! For $3, you can purchase, a sandwich, drink, and side item to get you through a day on the road. While on tour, you normally only catch one meal during the day, and a late night meal after the show...so on a $5 budget, the dollar menu becomes your right-hand-man. With many restaurants introducing healthy items on the dollar menu now, an artist can survive on more the double cheesburgers and fries.
