Runes explained

Have you ever heard of the on line RPG Runescape? In the game Runescape they actually use runes to cast spells which is not unlike the use of real runes. Runes are an ancient Germanic alphabet. Runes are used for writing and magic. Runes were used in the time period of 100 B.C.E. to 1600 C.E. Runes were largely used in Scandinavia, Iceland, Europe and the British Isles.

Runes are said to act much like a crystal ball in that you seek advice from a rune. The rune allegedly give you hints to the answer you are looking for yet does not come right out and tell you the answer.

Runic divination is said to help analyze the path of a circumstance and decide on what is likely to become the outcome. They also say that things are constantly changing, so there is no way of predicting the absolute future, thus if your prediction is not a good one, you can change things to make it better.

The word rune can be defined in many different ways, yet the most common two are secret or mystery. Each rune has it's own special meaning and properties aside from it's modern meaning. Each rune has a connection or relationship to a Norse God. Runes each have word or phrases that when interpreted, represent aspects of nature and the mind.

Runes are even used to cast spells. It is said that using a rune as a writing device is its own spell, and whatever you are writing about will become true. Rune spells are usually sent by burning them. There are many spells that the runes can allegedly perform.

If you have a desire to get into runes or just to learn more about them, it is suggested that you have some prior knowledge of history, mythology, ancient European culture and some knowledge of Scandinavian culture.
