Nothing dampens a wedding more than pre-wedding jitters and fighting; the occasion should be a harmonious and peaceful one for all. Work out any family problems before the big day and try to keep the week leading up to a wedding as peaceful as possible. To avoid pre-wedding fights:
* Have wedding details planned well in advance and keep stress levels to a minimum.
* Make sure that any weighty discussions occur well before the occasion; never leave anything to chance when it comes to family relationships and if necessary request that peace be respected in the lead-up to the big day.
* Some couples benefit from relationship counseling; effective strategies can be learned to curtail arguments.
* Always remember that a wedding day should be the happiest of one's life so prepare your state-of-mind well. With some thought and consideration for others, pre-wedding fights can be avoided.
* Some couples find it works to keep away from each other before walking down the aisle. Time spent with one's family may provide some breathing space and help to keep the peace; for some, spending time alone to contemplate can promote a peaceful attitude.
Pre-wedding fights are something that can mar this important event. Listening to others and making intelligent compromises are often the keys to keeping the peace. If needed hold you tongue in the company of your partner and family and keep any in-depth discussions or family spats until after the occasion.
