Sometimes you meet people, and you feel an almost instant connection. As if you have known them before.

Sometimes you meet someone, and this person just amazes you. You feel like you're in connection with an earth-bound Angel.

I believe ~ sincerely believe ~ in Angels.

There is a feeling of comfort and peace when you are around or with this person. Most of the time, they give a 'lift' to your spirit. After talking with this person, you are sincerely happy, and really feel great. As if you've connected on some other level.

Some people are just so special, in what they do, what they say, but even more so on how they touch your heart. Like a hand print left there for an eternity. When you think back, you can't help but smile and feel that warmth again. Knowing how great this feeling, this connection was, and all the blessings it gave to you ~ you want to share. Or at least try to. You want so much to allow others to feel & know that special-ness you felt.

I was so fortunate to have an Angel like this in my life. Unfortunately, not all people understand. It's like explaining the taste of chocolate to one who's never had it. Most never look beyond. They never "see the unseen" in others. They don't allow themselves to open up like that. Most looked at me like I was nuts.

On the surface, my Angel was not perfect.. On the surface, he was ordinary. But to me, he had the most gifted hands, the most beautiful soul, and an ability to light up a room ~ like the morning sun lights our homes. The gifts he gave me touched me, that "hand print" on my heart. The gifts he gave me could never be measured by any monetary way. They were so special and so full of life, love, energy, and sincere happiness, and the power of the human spirit. I will never forget my Angel, my Senior Angel. I will always try to share those gifts with others, passing on his memory, his spirit, the power of the human spirit.

December 12th marked 5 years since his passing. I have a picture of he & I on my living room wall. I often think of him. However, I smile knowing that he is now in the arms of Angels, and feeling the bliss of eternal unconditional love. No more pain, no more disappointments.

Guess what I'm trying to say is don't go through your life looking at everything at "face value" because there is so much more beneath. Imagine looking at the ocean ~ face value ~ never allowing yourself to feel its warmth, and never knowing what beauty lies beneath the surface. Open, feel, and always look beneath the surface of life.

Always remember, Angels aren't always the stereo-typed winged blemish free, perfect beings that fly. Sometimes, they are your closest friend, a neighbor, or like my case, a wonderful senior citizen in a local nursing home.

Look deeper, feel more.
