From the native american stanpoint
I personally am only partial native american I am
Cherokee Indian, but I am very proud of the part of
me that is native american.I feel society is still
today very unfair to the native american people.
There are religions and days for every other
race, culture and population, but there is nothing
to honor the native american people. They have done
many things for the american people yet we acknowledge
nothing of their presence in american history.Americans
still push them aside and look down on them for
their choice of religion, but at least there religion
is honest. They were always helpful to our people and
what was the thanks they got?Pushed out of their lands, killed,
tormented and cast aside like the dirty secret america didn't want anyone
to know.I feel if you are even a quarter of any native american
embrace it and be thankful that you were given such a
wonderful gift in your gene pool.I also feel the government
should consider a day, week,or even month to educate people
about the native american people and all the trials and trivials
they suffered through on account of the american race.I think the native americans should be acknowledged for all the good they did for us.
and all the things we put them through as our backwards
way of thanks.
