Creating your own wedding bouquets and other wedding items is hot these days. Not only can you add a very personal touch to your special day, but you can also save quite a bit of money. There are many flower wholesalers available locally and on the internet who can provide virtually any flower you will need. Just arrange for a cool storage space for the bouquets and other flowers so that they will stay fresh for the big day!

Here are some creative ideas for wedding bouquets:

1. For a modern look, create a tightly wrapped bouquet using a single type of flower. Wrap most of the stems with a wide silk or satin ribbon in your wedding color and finish with a large, perfectly tied yet simple bow. Lilies, roses, sunflowers, and even gerbera daisies look great in this style. Practice ahead of time with cheaper or silk flowers to get the tight shape just right.

2. For a casual country look, create a large bouquet of many types of flowers to create the look of a wildflower bouquet just picked in a country field. This type of bouquet can be quite economical since you can use simple and inexpensive flowers such as daisies mixed with more elegant flowers. Add some trailing ivy for mroe romance. Tie with a wide lace ribbon or eyelet. A large full bouquet in a rounded shape is nice and natural-looking - this is an easy look to do yourself.

3. For a colorful ultra-modern bouquet, choose two strong complementary colors such as fuschia and chartreuse and alternate flowers or create an inner bunch of one color surrounded by an outer bunch of another.

4. For destination beach weddings, create a bouquet in shades of white and off-white complemented by white ribbon or even raffia topped with a white ribbon, a white starfish or shell in the center of the bow, and perhaps some beach grasses in the bouquet for something unique.

5. For a bright tropical wedding, use bright tropical flowers such as orchids and hibiscus with dark rich green foliage or simply by themselves. Tie off with a bright bow in fuschia, aqua, or another tropical color. Add another tropical bloom to your hair!

Whatever look you decide on, take the time to read up on floral arranging tips and techniques and practice long before the big day! Also read reviews of wholesalers to make sure you choose a reputable and reliable florist to provide the flowers.
